Terms of use
What this website is, and what it isn't.
Short version: nothing on this site is advice about your situation, reading it doesn't make you a client, and there is a whole page about where my competence stops.
Last updated August 23, 2026. These terms cover your use of this website. Work done for a client is governed by the separate written agreement signed before that work begins; where the two differ, the agreement wins.
1. What this site is
Guided Health Navigation is an independent healthcare navigation practice serving families in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. This website describes that practice, publishes its rates, and offers a way to get in touch. That is all it is.
2. Nothing here is advice about your situation
Guided Health Navigation is not a law firm, a medical provider, an insurance agency, or a licensed professional fiduciary, and provides no legal, medical, financial, or fiduciary advice.
Everything published here is general information. It is not tailored to your circumstances, and it cannot be — I do not know them. Do not act, or decide not to act, on the strength of a page you read here. Rules change, and the answer for your family may not be the general answer.
Reading this site, sending the contact form, or having a first conversation does not make you a client and does not create a professional relationship. That begins only when a written agreement is signed by both of us.
3. How the practice actually works
This matters more than most terms, so it is here rather than buried: I advise, you act.
I do not file your appeal, make your calls, sit in your care conference, or sign anything on your behalf. What I do is tell you exactly what to file, where, by when, what to put in it and what to leave out — then read what came back and tell you what it means. You are the one with the authority to act. Partly that is the law: acting for you would make me your fiduciary, which is a licensed role I do not hold.
If what you need is someone to take the tasks off you, that is a licensed professional fiduciary or a hands-on care manager, and I will tell you so.
4. What I don’t do
There is a full page listing the things this practice does not provide — legal advice, drafting your documents, managing your money, selling you insurance, hands-on caregiving, and more — along with who to see instead. It is part of these terms by reference, and it is worth reading before you call.

5. This is not an emergency service
If someone is in danger, call 911. This is a deliberately small practice run alongside other commitments. It is not an answering service, it is not available around the clock, and it will not pretend to be.
6. Rates and engagement
Rates are published on this site because you should not have to ask what something costs. They are current at the date above and may change; the rate that applies to you is the one in your written agreement. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and I may decline work — including because a free programme would serve you better.
I take no referral fees from anyone, in either direction, and I accept no contingency fee or percentage of anything I save you.
7. Links to other organisations
This site names other organisations — HICAP, Caregiver Resource Center OC, state agencies and review bodies — because they are genuinely useful and sometimes free. Naming them is not an endorsement of everything they do, I do not control them, and I am not responsible for their content, services, or privacy practices. I am paid nothing for sending you to any of them.
8. Accuracy of what is published
Every figure on this site is sourced, and the source is shown next to it. Healthcare rules, benefit amounts, and deadlines change — sometimes at short notice — and a page that was right when it was written may not be right when you read it. The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Intellectual property
The text, design, and artwork on this site belong to Guided Health Navigation. You are welcome to read it, print it, and send it to your sister. You may not republish it as your own or use it commercially without permission.
10. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Guided Health Navigation is not liable for loss arising from your use of this website — including decisions made on the strength of general information published here rather than advice given to you under a written agreement.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If any part of this section is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
11. Privacy
What this site collects, what it deliberately does not, and what happens to a contact form submission are set out separately.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of Orange County, California have jurisdiction over any dispute.
13. Changes
If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies.
